Seismic Assessment of API Valves using Simulation
Project Objective: Assess the Structural Integrity of Globe Valves subjected to various load combinations (Earthquake-Seismic, Internal Pressure, Temperature)
Project Challenges: Project Required us to define a methodology for Simulation, load combination definitions, derivation of allowable stresses for individual components. It required us to go through the API codes and translate it into Finite Element Analysis software boundary conditions. Meshing, Contact definition, Pre-processing and Post-Processing were other challenges
Output : A detailed report showcasing the analysis is performed in accordance with the defined methodology
